Tweedy, Browne Company LLC

Updated: 23.04.2026

Tweedy, Browne is a US-based investment firm with over a century of experience in value investing, including more than three decades of global investment. Since its founding in 1920, Tweedy, Browne as pursued an investment philosophy pioneered by renowned value investors such as Benjamin Graham, Warren Buffett, and Walter Schloss. Value investing is the firm’s sole focus.

Tweedy’s investment approach is based on careful fundamental analysis and the belief that price matters. It seeks to capture the gap between market price and intrinsic value – what Benjamin Graham referred to as the investor’s “margin of safety.”

Tweedy, Browne seeks to invest in companies trading well below their estimated intrinsic value, based on careful analysis of financials, business fundamentals, transaction comparables, and insider activity.

By remaining patient and disciplined, and by looking beyond short-term market fluctuations, Tweedy aims to benefit from the long-term value growth that durable competitive advantages deliver.

Importantly, Tweedy invests right alongside their clients. As of 31 March 2026, Tweedy principals, employees, and their families had more than $1.5 billion invested in strategies they manage.
